Overview

Our client in Selsey approached us with a vision to transform their outdated home into a modern, open-plan space that would be both stylish and practical. The goal was to create a more appealing property that could be rented out, offering potential tenants a contemporary and comfortable living space. The project focused on opening up the kitchen and lounge area, updating the entire interior, and enhancing the home’s overall aesthetic.

To bring this vision to life, we began by removing the old bifold doors and expanding the opening to install new, larger bifold doors. This change allowed for more natural light and created a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. We then took down an internal wall to merge the kitchen and lounge areas, crafting a spacious, open-plan layout. To further enhance the sense of space, we introduced a vaulted ceiling, which added height and a feeling of openness to the room. Installing a steel beam above the bifolds was crucial for supporting the new structure and ensuring the stability of the expanded opening.

As part of the comprehensive renovation, we also installed a Velux window to bring additional light into the open-plan area. We took care of all the plastering and rendering work, ensuring smooth, high-quality finishes throughout the space. On the exterior, we upgraded the fascias and guttering at the rear of the house to complement the interior improvements. We also refreshed the patio area, providing an inviting outdoor space for future tenants to enjoy.

Inside, we carried out a complete overhaul, including the installation of a brand-new kitchen and a fully renovated bathroom. We decorated the entire house, paying attention to every detail, from painting to new flooring throughout. The result was a bright, modern, and highly appealing home that was perfectly positioned to attract tenants.
